Heather Doyle’s higher education includes a Masters degree in General Biology from Mississippi State University. This Masters program was designed for K-12 teachers. She also holds a BA in Heather Doyle in Green room

Biology from Rhode Island College.

Her ongoing education includes subscriptions to the following professional journals:

Science and Children, Science Scope, and The Science Teacher.

She belongs to the following professional organizations:

• Member of NSTA, the National Science Teachers Association, since 2004

• Member of the Association of Teacher Educators

• Member of NARST, National Association for Research in Science Teaching

Heather’s work experience:

Heather has worked for large international nonprofits such as the Girl Scouts as the Director of Program and STEM Consultant and for Junior Achievement as the VP of Education as well as in the medical field for Quest Diagnostics and Cabarrus Diagnostic Imaging. She was also a middle school Science teacher. Heather most enjoys working with nonprofits and corporations to create STEM communities and partnerships. Currently Heather is the Director of Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium in Santa Monica, CA.

Heather Doyle comes from a long line of educators. Her father was a Biology professor for over 37 years. Her grandfather a high school Science teacher and then assistant principal. Also her great Grandfather was superintendent of schools from 1945-1956 for the Jordan school district in Utah where a library is now named after him.
